A brief overview

Thames Card Technology Ltd was established in 1995, having previously traded in the plastics industry for 40 years.  Thames operates from a single secure site in the UK and manufactures, personalises and fulfils plastic cards for customers all over the world. We produce cards for many markets ranging from Banking and Retail to Telecoms and ID.

Accreditations

Thames was first accredited to manufacture VISA & MasterCard products in 1999 and in 2004 achieved the Logical Security accreditations to enable us to manufacture and personalise EMV Banking Chip & PIN cards. With these accreditations and working in partnership with Sagem-Orga, Thames offer a complete EMV Card manufacturing and personalisation solution.

Thames is committed to customer service and quality and has gained ISO 9001 certification as well as being a member of the MasterCard Vendor Program.  

Environment

Thames is continually striving to reduce its carbon footprint and the impact it has on the environment and in July 2010 successfully achieved the ISO 14001 accreditation .

Every effort is made to recycle as much waste as possible with all plastic and over 90% of other waste recycled rather than going to landfill sites.

We also invest in our local environment and surroundings by supporting the Essex Wildlife Trust by means of corporate sponsorship as well as encouraging our staff to actively take part in Essex Wildlife Trust events.

Thames regards its environmental responsibilities as a high priority and will continue to maintain and improve on our current standards for today and future generations.
